Why is the Nintendo Wii one of the 'must haves' this Christmas. I guess because it's just sheer fun and excitement.

It is a favourite game with people because it brings the players into the game. Players might use the remote to actually simulate playing tennis, baseball or boxing. Or, they might use a wireless steering wheel to direct their car while playing a racing game. The players in the games apply their imaginations hence their enjoyment of the game grows and therefore the game feels good and enjoyable.
